I. The Work

Men's Work

An old practice, made new for the world we actually live in.

What men's work is

Men's work is the deliberate practice of becoming a fuller, more integrated man — through honest self-examination, in the witnessed presence of other men. It is older than any modern program. Cultures across time have set aside space for men to initiate men. Somewhere along the way, most of us stopped.

What we do on Thursdays is a small, faithful attempt to remember. We slow down. We tell the truth. We are witnessed by men who will not flinch, and we do the same for them.

Why it matters now

Most men in the modern world are isolated in a way earlier generations would find strange. Our closest friendships are often thin. Our fathers were often themselves unfathered. We have inherited grief we did not name, and habits we did not choose.

Without a container to work through this, it comes out sideways — in our relationships, our work, our health, our children. With one, something else becomes possible: a man who can stand in his own life on purpose.

The ManKind Project

Warriors Path is affiliated with the ManKind Project (MKP) — a global network of men's groups anchored in a common initiation called the New Warrior Training Adventure. Many of us have walked that weekend; some have not. The training is not required to sit in this circle.

What we take from MKP is a shared language — around the four archetypes, around shadow work, around holding space — and a proven container for weekly integration groups (called iGroups) like ours.

What it isn't

Warriors Path is not therapy. It is not a religion, a political affiliation, or a self-improvement seminar. It is not a place to fix other men — we are all here for our own work.

And it is not soft. The work asks something of you. But it asks it of you in the company of men who have decided to ask it of themselves.
